Harrison’s Cave
The cave has been open since 1981 as a tourist attraction. It is a place where you see a beautiful crystal limestone cavern. Flowing streams, deep pools of crystal clear water and towering columns characterize this living cave. Visitors are driven in electrically operated trams down through the extensive system of caves and at the lowest level point in the cave, they are invited to leave the tram and walk alongside a spectacular waterfall which plunges into a deep pool below…. this is truly an “awesome wonder!” Excellent tour guides give all the historical information on this cave along the way.
Garrison Savannah Racetrack
This race track is one of the oldest race track in the Americas. known internationally for the annual Barbados Gold Cup for Thoroughbreds. It is a day for all the family. Street food, vendors, parades, picnics and mingling are as important to many as the races and the bets.
Bottom Bay
Considered by many as home to ‘the most impressive beach on the island’, Bottom Bay is located on the South East Coast of Barbados, in the parish of St. Philip. It is an attractive remote cove with a picturesque beach, partly bordered by rough jagged cliffs – the perfect place if you’re seeking that ‘desert island’ atmosphere. Coconut palms sway in the soft breezes, soaring cliffs and intriguing caves, shimmering translucent turquoise waves roll gently onto the seashore, wide stretches of powder soft golden white sand… a tropical paradise. These cliffs also provide visitors with spectacular walks that carry the additional prospect of spotting turtles and whales in the waters below.
Barbados Museum & Historical Society
It was established in 1933 some of the main displays and features of the Barbados Museum are:
● A natural history display that describes the coral structure of Barbados.
● Artifacts of the Amerindians, the early inhabitants of the Caribbean islands.
● Children’s Gallery ‘Yesterday’s Children’ which provides an exciting and educational travel back into history.
● Furnishings of an eighteenth century plantation house.
● A collection of rare historical maps of the island.
● A reference library which is available for research on the island’s history and genealogy.
Atlantis Submarine Tours
It’s a day or night tour under and over water where you will have the experience to see the shipwrecks, beautiful colorful fishes and coral reefs. They also do private and upgrades tours. Great for special occasion. Wonderful place for friend and family fun.
